We are a local group dedicated to the practice and worship of the Ways and Gods of Pre-Christian Germanic Europe, known to most by the names of Odin, Thor, Frigg, and Freyja as well as others. This path also encompasses the crafts of the culture such as Runecraft and Seiðcraft. Our view is taken largely from scholastic research through such fields as archæology and linguistics, combined with personal intuition and our own experiences with our world. Our main focus in the practice of our spiritual ways is the idea of Family. The roles of husband and wife, parent and child and how they affect the home are most important to us. We offer our folk support by helping with spiritual, emotional, and physical needs and by offering rituals, meetings, and classes which are supportive of family time and work schedules. Our other goals are to be a positive member of the greater religious environment of the Denton-Dallas/Ft. Worth and to provide a solid source for learning the Old Lore on a level which encourages critical thinking , research and deeper understanding of the cultural and religious ideas in the texts available and from practices known to us. |
