Links
Below are links to websites which Holy Spring
and/or its individual members use or might contain groups of which they are
members or otherwise associate.
HEATHEN LINKS
The
Troth: An international pan-Germanic spirituality organization which
primarily networks and provides the journal Idunna. Holy Spring is not
officially a part of this organization, but a few members are.
Midgard Hearth Heathen Fellowship: This is our sister kindred in
Houston run by some great folk who are very much involved in the spiritual
growth of their people.
Rune
Gild: This is an esoteric organization, based on a traditional gild
system, for learning and applying the runes to everyday life in a manner by
which the successful runeworker can work his or her Will on their world. Also
has a link and is the home organization for Runa-Raven Press, which carries all
of Edred Thorson's books as well as the works of many others, scholastic and
esoteric alike.
Theod
Bookhoard: A great source for books published by Anglo-Saxon Books,
which cover a wide range of topics in early English history, as well as other
Heathen related books.
Freya
Aswynn's Site: The homepage of the author, Freya Aswynn. It contains
many of her personal works and projects as well as is the best source for
getting downloadable e-book versions of Kveldulf Gundarsson's books Teutonic
Magic and Teutonic Religion. Gundarsson's Wotan: Road to Valhalla
is also available which is a condensed version of his doctorial thesis under his
birth-name of Dr. Stephan Grundy.
The
Anglo-Saxon Eldright (Þæt
Angelseaxisce Ealdriht): This is a Heathen organization with a more
Anglo-Saxon bent and plenty of various resources in A-S studies and topics.
White Sage Kindred: This is a
neighboring kindred centered out of Little Elm, TX and is part of the Ealdriht.
They frequently join us and two other kindred in joint blessings which rotate
hosting duties through each group.
E-LISTS
We have a number of e-lists that we are
on, to various levels of involvement. Some of them require memberships in the
groups they represent while others do not. Do take note that some are more
"talkative" than others and may create large amounts of e-mail for people who
sign-up.
Holy Spring: Our
group's communication and planning list. If we meet you and you plan on
building the community with us, then you will be invited. Otherwise it is
closed.
Heathen Fathers:
A list for heathen fathers for venting and asking questions. Low traffic.
Troth
Conservatives: A list for those of a politically, socially, and
spiritually conservative bent who are members of the Troth or intend on
joining.
Troth Texas: A
contact and organizational list for Troth members in Texas.
Texas Asatru League:
A mostly social and networking list for the Texas Asatru League, a fraternal
organization of Heathens in Texas. Traffic is moderate to high on average.
Our Meadhall: A
national networking and discussion list on various topics with various
characters throughout Heathenry. usually high traffic- digest recommended.
MISC. LINKS- These may not be
Heathen specifically but are links to groups, individuals, or merchants we know
or use.
Betwixt and Between: One of the local area pagan community centers and
groups at which we teach some classes and help in bolstering the overall pagan
community.
Open Circle Center: The
other pagan community center which formed as a split off from B&B. We have
worked with them in a while, but seem to be good people.
Ragnar's Ragweed Forge: A great on-line seller of Heathen Age and
post-Heathen Age medieval jewelry as well as many other things.
Journal
of Indo-European Studies: sells subscriptions and individual books on a
variety on I-E studies, many of which center around Germanic studies. Of
particular interest is Kris Kershaw's The One-Eyed God: Odin and the (Indo-)
Germanic Männerbünde. If you are an Odinist, you really need this
book.
